Job Title: Part-Time Cleaning Person
Location: Thrive Hair Bar DC
Position Type: Part-Time, Contract
Pay: $75 per 3-hour shift
Schedule: Tuesdays, Wednesdays OR Sundays from 9am-12pm
Job Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented, reliable, and responsible part-time cleaning person to join our team at Thrive Hair Bar DC. This individual will be tasked with maintaining a pristine, welcoming, and hygienic environment for our clients and staff, ensuring that our salon’s high standards of cleanliness are consistently met. As a cleaning professional, you will be an essential part of our commitment to providing top-tier service in a luxurious and comfortable setting.
Responsibilities:
Sanitization of High-Touch Surfaces: Sanitize high-contact areas such as door handles, light switches, and cabinet handles to ensure hygiene standards are maintained.
General Floor Cleaning: Sweep, mop, and vacuum all areas of the salon, including waiting areas, stylist area, shampoo area, break room area, storage area, and restrooms.
Surface Wiping and Dusting: Dust and clean surfaces throughout the salon, including shelves, countertops, display areas, drawers, doors, mirrors, salon sinks, and baseboards.
Waste Management: Empty trash and recycling bins regularly, ensuring proper disposal and maintenance of cleanliness.
Restroom Maintenance: Ensure restrooms are cleaned including mirrors, sinks, and toilets, and stocked with necessary supplies (toilet paper, soap, etc.) throughout each shift.
Stocking Supplies: Maintain a regular inventory of cleaning and sanitation products, notifying management when supplies are low.
Collaborate with Salon Staff: Work alongside the stylists and salon team to maintain a seamless and clean working environment.
Deep Cleaning Tasks: Assist in periodic deep cleaning tasks such as window washing, emptying sink traps, cleaning, and carpet cleaning when needed.
Job Requirements:
Experience: Previous cleaning experience, preferably in a salon, spa, or luxury environment, is preferred.
Attention to Detail: High level of attention to cleanliness, organization, and hygiene.
Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and stand, kneel, or bend for extended periods of time.
Work Ethic: Must be self-motivated, reliable, and punctual.
Hygiene Standards: Must have a strong understanding of sanitation and safety protocols.
Flexibility: Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed to accommodate the salon’s schedule.
Communication Skills: Must be able to communicate effectively with salon staff and management.
Attire: Must wear appropriate cleaning attire. All black clothing is preferred with no fringes, rips, tears, nor logos.
Preferred Skills:
Familiarity with eco-friendly cleaning products and practices.
Experience in a luxury or high-end service environment is a plus.

Requirements
You must be a licensed cosmetologist in Virginia
You must commit to four, 8 hour training sessions over two weeks during probation in our DC location
Pay
Guaranteed Hourly Pay$ for new hires during probationary period or a $500 sign-on bonus as a commission-only hire
Service commission + retail commission + tips
Complimentary training is provided for all team members
Pay: $40,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
Expected hours: No less than 8 per week

Thrive Hair Bar Arlington is looking for an experienced salon manager to manage a small team of 2-4 stylists in our Arlington suite. This manager is always on time, always looking for ways to improve stylist performance, and is proactive in addressing stylist and client concerns. This manager’s skills include recruiting talented stylists, incentivizing stylist performance, patience, empathy, attention to detail, and a get it done attitude. The ideal candidate would also be passionate about natural hair and about helping people feel comfortable, confident, and empowered emphasizing their natural beauty.
Responsibilities include:
Recruiting and training new stylists
Providing client services for at least 4 half shifts per week
Leading weekly training sessions for up to 4 stylists
Aiding stylists in need
Conflict resolution
Attending, leading, and actively participating in team meetings
Maintaining cleanliness and aesthetic appeal of the salon by ensuring team compliance with cleanliness, sanitary, and disinfection protocols
Updating inventory lists with low and out of stock items
Attending local trade shows and job fairs to help grow the company footprint
Building and maintaining team camaraderie and a positive/inclusive atmosphere
Benefits & Pay:
Annual Pay - $50,000 - $85,000
Commission + tips during styling shifts
Eligible for bonus pay based on achieving clear targets

Thrive Hair Bar is always looking for hair models to help us continue to learn and grow. Models must be available for up to 2 hours on the dates selected. All models must be 18+ years old and send a photo of themselves with their natural hair (no extensions) and a full body pic or public social media page. We love all hair (kinky, coily, curly, wavy, straight, locs, loose, etc.) If selected, we will respond via email sharing upcoming modeling dates and to guide you in how to book your modeling appointment.
